Frequent questions about our products

Why don’t you have smallwares listed on your site?

Our site is still under construction, but trust us, smallwares in the webstore is coming.

We keep a good amount of everyday essentials in stock at our warehouse, so for those looking for something quick, just give us a call or an email, and we’ll get you sorted asap with selections from our stock.

The item I'm looking for isn’t on your website. Does this mean you don’t sell it?

Not necessarily! The world of foodservice equipment is vast, and there’s so much product out there. We’ve partnered with trusted brands to present a limited selection in our webstore, helping to narrow down the overwhelming number of choices.

If you’re not seeing exactly what you’re looking for, please get in touch with us via phone or email. There’s a good chance we can source what you’re looking for (or at least find an alternative) and provide you with a quote.

We’re just getting started on our webstore and adding more and more products every week. Make sure to keep checking back!

I don’t really know exactly what it is I’m looking for. Can I talk to anyone face-to-face?

If there’s one thing we love here at RYCO, it’s talking about commercial kitchen equipment and smallwares, and all the other little odds and ends that go with opening a restaurant from the ground up, or keeping an existing one running smoothly.

We have Sales Representatives based in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick for those in-person needs across the Maritimes.

But we’re always happy to jump on a call and chat as well.

Why do you only have Sales Reps in the Maritimes?

RYCO is proudly Maritime owned and operated, and our local reps provide hands-on support to independent operators throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEI.

Across the rest of Canada our experienced inside sales team and nationwide distribution network do the heavy lifting. We ship to and support customers across Canada every day. Whether you're in Halifax, Hamilton, or Hope, you’ll receive the same expert advice, competitive pricing, and responsive service RYCO is known for.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

Questions covering Shipping and our Returns and Exchange policies & procedures

I need to make a return or exchange for something I purchased. How can I go about this?

You can find all the details on our Returns & Exchanges page.

How soon will my items ship?

In-stock items with our partners generally ship within 2-3 business days, but this is not a guarantee of a shipment date. Should our partners not have stock, we will reach out with options for in-stock alternates or alternates with faster shipping times.

RYCO Kitchenworks keeps a limited amount of items in stock at our warehouse in Lower Sackville, NS. Any of these will be processed and shipped within 1-2 business days of receiving your final order and complete payment.

When are my things going to be delivered?

Most of our items are shipped directly from our manufacturer or vendor partners’ warehouses across Canada. RYCO Kitchenworks will at times ship in-stock products from our warehouse in Lower Sackville, NS.

All items are shipped via our freight partners at Midland Freight or Midland Courier, however some smaller items may ship via Purolator or ship via manufacturer freight carriers.

In-stock item shipping and processing times from our manufacturer or vendor partners can vary, but on average run 2-3 business days. Larger items may require more time, and large shipment quantities or truckload quantities may require upwards of 7 business days.

Will I get a tracking number?

We’ll provide a tracking number whenever possible as items ship! If you do not receive a tracking number, reach out to us with any questions.

What’s with the individual freight quotes?

Due to the size and complexity of shipping foodservice equipment, it is challenging to place a blanket shipping cost on all items. To ensure you receive the best and most accurate shipping and delivery costs for your location, we provide customized quotes for every order.

We know this sometimes slows down the process, but we want to do our best to get it right for you the first time and keep the freight costs transparent.

Do I need a tailgate delivery?

Good question! From our years of experience, we’ve gathered that most of our clients don’t have dock-level loading access for their storefront locations.

If you do: amazing, definitely let us know.

If you don’t have dock-level loading access or a forklift (and certified forklift driver) on-site, you’ll definitely want a tailgate to help drop equipment from the truckbed at 4’-0” off the ground.

There’s nothing worse than calling up your buddies to stand outside with you in the pouring rain to help offload a bunch of 500lb+ wood-crated refrigerators off the back of a transport truck by hand.

Trust us, we’ve unloaded so many refrigerators.

So. Many.

I have so many more questions about shipping.

Got it! You’ll find more details at our Shipping Policy page.
